Christmas Traditions

Whether you always watch the same Christmas movie each year on Christmas Eve or set out the same Christmas village on your mantel each year, Christmas traditions are a must for many people all over the globe. Here are some of our favourite decorating ideas and magical Christmas traditions to make your own this year.

Deck the Halls

Traditional Christmas decorations are also a huge favourite for Christmas traditionalists. Think red, green and gold with touches of holly and red berries. There are handmade decorations, gathered over the years sentimental treasures, handmade wool throws, comfy cushions, table centerpieces, poinsettia, greenery and candy canes.

Traditional Christmas décor reminds us of our childhoods, loved ones who may no longer be with us, and cozy, comfy, cheerful memories!

Make Homemade Hot Chocolate

Those who have visited our farm may have tasted our famous Belgian hot chocolate. This rich, sweet delicacy could warm even the grinches heart. As the festive season begins make sure you have your favourite hot cocoa mug on hand and don’t forget the marshmallows.

Give Back

Christmas is all about the spirit of giving and spending time with loved ones. Some of us are not as fortunate as others and would really appreciate your support during the holiday season. So, this year why not consider donating your time at a local charity or even starting a neighbourhood toy drive.

Write Thankful Notes

Christmas can be a time to reflect on the past year. One tradition we will be doing as a family this year is writing notes for all that we are thankful for. This is a great tradition for the kids to get involved in. Decorate the thankful notes with colourful pictures or even some festive glitter! Store your notes away and each year you can read them as a family.

Listen to some Christmas Classics

A festive playlist doesn’t have to be just for Christmas. In fact, we have ours going all year long! There’s nothing better than some Christmas karaoke! “All I want for Christmas is you…” What’s your favourite Chrismtas classic?

Visit a Christmas Tree Farm!

Luckily for you, we have created a Christmas wonderland that can be enjoyed all year round. The festive fun really ramps up from the last week in November and right up until Christmas Eve as our Harvest begins. The smell of fresh pine is in the air and happy families are heading off to decorate their very own farm fresh Christmas tree. You can even enjoy a picnic amongst our beautiful trees.
