Have you been dreaming about visiting our Mistletoe store during this upcoming season? There is so much happening at GBCF in the coming months and we want to make sure you don’t miss a thing! Grab your notebook, pen and a steaming cup of hot cocoa, because it’s time to start planning! Here are some of the best tips and tricks to make it a fun and memorable time when you visit our farm.
PLANNING YOUR TRIP TO GBCF
One of our favourite things about running the Granite Belt Christmas Farm is getting to meet all the people who come through our doors! Our customers visit from all over the country and is some cases, from across the world! Whether you’re from down the road or across the seas, our elves are here to help make your experience as unique and special as possible.
1. CHECK WHAT’S ON AT THE FARM
We have some amazing events planned this year so be sure to check out our What’s On page. If you find an event you’d like to attend, be sure to mark it on the calendar and make a day or weekend of it!
2. DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
All most all of our in-store collection is available online, so you can start shopping and envisioning your new looks before your big day in store. Be sure to follow Katrina on FB live on Thursday nights at 7pm as she shows new arrivals and offers some fantastic styling ideas. You can also ask questions in real time.
Katrina’s Handy Tip for Decorating
“Before you visit, gather your Christmas collection and decide on accents and colours. It’s a good idea to have a wish list in mind. Our store is arranged via themes to help you create the Christmas wonderland that’s best suited to you.”
If you do see something you like and just can’t wait, we offer a free click and collect service so you can place your order in advance and pick your items up directly from the farm.
3. CHOOSE A TIME THAT’S A LITTLE LESS BUSY
We have a dedicated team of elves who are very willing to help you make decisions and pull together festive looks — but time with them can be limited during peak seasons. (Oct – Dec). If you’re wanting to spend some extra time browsing, we recommend visiting mid week when the store is a little quieter. This way you can shop to your hearts content!
4. SET ASIDE SOME TIME TO EXPLORE THE FARM
We have created a ‘Christmas Village’ on our farm to sprinkle magic on you all year round and there are a bundle of ‘Must Do’s on the farm for the whole family.
- Browse our spectacular range of over 20,000 Christmas decorations in our Mistletoe Store.
- Home of the famous Belgian Hot Chocolate! Ensure you enjoy marshmallow moustaches.
- Dine in Mrs Claus Kitchen which offers fresh local produce for Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch & Afternoon Tea. Don’t forget to indulge in Rudolph’s Ice Cream Bar too!
- Indulge in our Picnic Hampers and savour the fresh scent of pine in our fields of Christmas Trees. Find your perfect spot to throw out the Picnic Rug!
- Let the kids explore & feed Santa’s animals, wander through the fields of real Christmas trees or visit the farm in harvest season and let the kids pick the perfect tree for your family festivities.
5. MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH ROOM IN THE CAR TO GET ALL YOUR BEAUTIFUL TREASURES HOME SAFELY
If you are from out of town and can’t make multiple trips, make sure your car is big enough to transport all your Christmas goodies. We suggest emptying the boot completely!
6. CHECK OUT THE OTHER THINGS TO DO ON THE GRANITE BELT
With our Christmas store nestled in the heart of the Granite Belt wine region, there are a bunch of must sees during your trip. The surrounding countryside is dotted with welcoming boutique wineries, cosy cabins, gourmet larders, open farm gates and spectacular Girraween National Park. Why not make a weekend of it wake up and smell the fresh country air. Check out these Granite Belt stay options.
