For most people the holidays are about spending time with family and friends. It’s a time for eating, drinking and being merry! Everyone’s Christmas day looks different, but in our house, we enjoy listening to Christmas music and playing some games. Here are some game ideas that will get even the Grinchiest people into the holiday spirit.
A Christmas Eve Puzzle
Over the years, this has become a tradition in the Fraser household. We let the kids choose their favourite puzzle and we all do it as a family. It’s a nice time to slow down & unwind and talk about the years events.
Christmas Guess Who
While pretty much any board game can be a fun addition to your holiday party, choosing a game with a Christmas twist can help boost the festive feel. Christmas guess who is no exception. All you need is a pack of sticky notes for this game. You stick a name to each person’s forehead, and they have to try to figure out who they are by asking questions of everyone else. Or why not try Christmas charades?
Christmas Trivia
Ho-ho-hope you know all the answers to this Christmas Trivia game! It’s time to recall those fun holiday traditions and Christmas carols to score points in this game. There are four fun categories to make Christmas cheer louder than ever this year.
Christmas Baking Competition
Who makes the best Christmas cookies, and whose gingerbread goodies steal the show? Have guests bring their Christmas baking finest for judging. This is a really fun activity to do with the kids, and best of all, your party’s desserts are already covered!
Find The Pickle
Originally a German tradition, this game involves hiding a pickle ornament on your Christmas tree. The person who spots it first gets a prize. If you don’t have a pickle ornament, simply choose another quirky style from your current ornament stash, and have the kids hunt for it.
